Copper Creek Brewing Company

Copper Creek Brewing Company is not just any bar.  There are always new options and every experience there is different because 39 different styles of beer are rotated on their menu every year.  Their beer selection offers an alternative to the typical options that are found in most bars.  Additionally, no other bar’s beer in Athens matches Copper Creek’s because their beer is not pasteurized or filtered and all of the ingredients are ground and fermented in-house.

Copper Creek also has a Medieval and ambient atmosphere.  Before you enter you can see the medieval style masonry on the building’s facade and the copper brewing equipment at the front of the store.  The old-fashioned bar stools, woodwork, and masonry make you feel like you are in a medieval style brewpub.  The bar is dimly lit, the mood is tranquil, and offers one a place to relax and savor the moment while drinking beers that cannot be found anywhere else.  During sporting events the bar becomes more vivacious and has plenty of space and televisions to watch games and sit with your friends.

Copper Creek also has something fun happening every week day.  Monday is Girls Night Out! where women can get $2 Martinis all day and night.  Tuesday is $2 pints.  On Wednesdays trivia starts at 9PM and cash prizes are granted to the winners and drink specials are available to all who attend.  Also, on every month’s first Wednesday at 6PM is Authentic Cask Tapping.  This is an old brewing technique that originated in 19th century Britain.  This technique allows for ales to not need to be pasteurized, which creates softer carbonation and other flavor components.  Thursday night is wing night where you can buy $.45 chicken wings and $3 Jager Bombs.  On Sundays you can get $3 Mimosas, $3 Bloody Mary’s, and $3 Irish whiskey and the breakfast menu is served all day.

For their menu, they offer delicious entrees such as their Mediterranean Flat Bread Pizza that’s made with spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, kalamata olives, red onion, feta cheese, and garlic.  They also have Fillipino Pork Egg Rolls and Mozzarella Sticks that that come with a homemade marinara sauce. They offer dishes like their Chicken and Ale Chowder and Greek Salad that comes with mixed greens, feta cheese, olives, tomato, onions, roasted red peppers, and balsamic vinaigrette.

They also have many sandwich style meals such as bison, steak, lamb, a Wild Mushroom Hoagie, Fried Turkey Breast, Falafel, and Fried Buffalo Tacos.  Their BrewHouse specials include Grilled Meatloaf, Salmon Cakes, Shrimp and Grits, and Buttermilk Fried Chicken Breast.

For brunch they offer Amaretto French Toast, Brewmaster’s Omelette; a three-egg omelet with tomatoes, spinach, and toast; Country Breakfast; A grilled andouille sausage and home-fries that is topped with an egg over-easy and served with toast.  Brunch wing prices and portions are 10 for $8, 20 for $15, and 30 for $22.  For dessert they offer Fried Apple Dumpling, New York Style Cheesecake, and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.

Currently on tap is a Cream Ale, Cisco Pale, Scottish Ale, and Oatmeal Stout.
